Why Install Sod?
Sod installation is the quickest way to create a new lawn. We use a Bluegrass/Fescue mix that is more versatile and resistant to shade and drought than the regular bluegrass.
If properly cared for, a newly sodded yard will be ready for use in about 3 weeks. An average size yard can be quickly installed at a reasonable cost. Although seeding initially costs less, many costs recur due to erosion, reseeding, over-seeding, and watering. Seeded lawns can take 2 to 3 weeks just to germinate. A larger amount of time and care is required by a seeded lawn, months are required before it is ready to use.
